NESDB cuts Thai GDP growth to 2.1% due to Trump tax risk

NESDB indicates that the Thai economy in 2015 will grow by only 2.1% per year, a result of the US tax policy and the slowdown of the global economy. Risk factors related to international trade, money markets, capital markets, and global geopolitics should be closely monitored.
Today (1 May 2025), Mr. Pornchai Thiravet, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) and spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, stated the results of the 2025 Thai economic forecast that the Thai economy in 2025 is expected to expand by 2.1% (forecast range 1.6-2.6%), mainly due to pressures from global trade, particularly the impact of the United States (US) import tax policy and the slowdown of the economies of trading partners. สล็อต
